It took me a long time to figure it out, but it appears that comments have stopped working on the blog. If you’ve left a comment on the last three posts for me I apologize! It’s not that I’m ignoring you, it’s a technical problem.
Of course I figured out what was happening on a holiday weekend, which means my support request to WordPress is going to take longer. And I’m definitely not smart enough to fix the issue myself. Just wanted to let my readers know I’m aware of the problem, I’m sorry, and it’s hopefully getting fixed soon. Happy 2021, I guess?

I’ve definitely noticed WordPress comments being finicky from time to time. To be honest, I had noticed, but I’ve been digging for a solution on my end!
In the end I had to go to my administration page, disable the Jetpack comments, then get a comments plugin called WP Discuz installed instead. Probably from a coding standpoint that’s like using an axe to cut one thread, but hey. It worked!
Testing, testing. Plz work?
Woot! Changing plugins appears to have worked for now. Apparently I have to live with the “post rating” feature for this comment form but oh well. If I’m going to be an author I have to get used to my writing being rated, anyway.
