The Writer’s Tag: Look I’m Legit With Tags and Everything Now!

In which the author, who is not crazy, interviews herself and the voices in her head. Should be fun. The tag was created for authors by Lorraine Ambers and Ari Meghlen as a fun way to connect with other writers, and help us all get to know each other better. I’m participating in this tag thanks to the wonderful GJ Stephens, who is releasing his first novel on Friday! (30th November) He is one of the kindest people, with a genuine wish to reach out…

Get Ye Back to Schoole: Top Ten Tuesday

This is a TTT post. On Tuesdays we make lists, we love books, and we makes lists about how much we love books. Wednesdays are for wearing pink. This week’s list is broadly on the topic of learning, since most of us are either going back to school, know someone who is, or are hauling our own offspring in. So here are ten of the nonfiction books I’ve read and really learned from. 1. Having Faith, Sandra Steingraber. Nowhere else have…

Adding AllAuthor to Your Author Toolbox

Yes, there is BookBub.com. It’s right up there with the ginormous Goodreads as a top spot for recommendations and book lists. Wait, did yet another person just rate it five stars on Goodreads? Every bookworm knows this feeling. It’s anticipation, mixed…

Top Ten Tuesday With a Lovely Yellow Hue

Top Ten Tuesdays started in 2010 on The Broke and the Bookish  and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. Make fun lists about literary things using the topics provided, or go rogue and make up your own. Basically, if you’re a bookworm, come booknerd with us! My favorite color is yellow. It’s the color of sunshine, hope, happiness. It’s an energetic color and it makes me feel positive. Also, I’m pretty laid back, really value loyalty, and live for sweet buttery…

One Good Way to Make Your Brain Leak Out Your Ears

Switching from the free (.wordpress.com) website to a self-hosted (.com) site has a lot of support. For starters, there are plenty of how-to articles with step by step instructions. There are YouTube videos. The self-hosting service I chose (Site Ground) works with WordPress so that computer illiterate people, like me, only have to push a few buttons to make the transfer. Even with all of that, the whole thing took about six hours (I’m still not done tweaking the tiny…
